This week's Notable Happy Buck goes to Barry Helms, congratulations on 20 years with your Bride!!!!

$5,000 Donation to the Bixby YMCA

Bill & Jan, YMCA of Bixby Board Members, were present along with Jeri Strange & Ericka Sherod to recieve the $5,000 donaton to the Bixby YMCA from the Rotary Club of Bixby.

Rotarian of the Day, Cheryl Black

Cheryl has lived in Glenpool, OK for 17 years.  She attends First Christian Church in Jenks, OK.  She is a CPA and has been employed in public accounting for 8 years.  Currently, she is the Senior Auditor/Project Manager at Curzon, Cumbey, and Kunkel CPA's.  She likes to keep busy with her two kids, a 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter.  Cheryl loves to cook, read, spend time outdoors (especially during the summertime) and she is in the middle of obtaining her private pilot's license. 

We are glad to have you in our club, Cheryl!

Kick-Off Meeting for 2009 Bixby BBQ and Music Festival 

Make plans to attend this informative meeting on Tuesday, January 15th, from 6-8pm at the Bixby Chamber of Commerce located at 4 East Dawes in Downtown Bixby.

This is a great way to make-up for any missed Rotary Club meetings!

Special Watch Party Tuesday, January 13th

Sapulpa Public Schools and CREOKS Behavioral Health Services are hosting a Crystal Darkness Watch Party. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics has planned this documentary on Meth that will air on all TV channels all over the state of Oklahoma at the same time starting at 6:30PM on January 13th. There is a watch party being put on by Jack Maxwell's daughter that you can attend if you are not having one of your own.

  • Q&A Panel 7:00-7:30PM - We will have a panel with local professionals that deal with Meth and Meth users on a daily basis.
  • FREE Childcare - Provided by SPS High School FCCLA Group
